Group Counseling
Acceptance in Abundance offers two groups Anger Management & Present Parenting which may increase depending on client’s need. More Information about each group is available under Services. Group counseling has many advantages whereas not all are able to participate in Group counseling. Individuals are screened before participating in a group to ensure the safety of all participants. Advantages of group counseling include:
- Members can help and identify with others dealing with similar issues and situations.
- Assist in normalizing problems as individuals discover that their problems are similar to those of others.
- Individuals have different backgrounds, experiences, and personalities therefore, they look at situations differently. By observing how other people tackle problems and make positive changes, members can discover a whole range of strategies for facing personal concerns.
